Hacking is a critical aspect of Pragmata and is Diana’s primary contribution to gameplay progression — whether the target is an enemy or the environment itself. Yellow Hacking Nodes enhance this hacking process and are scattered throughout The Cradle, allowing you to collect and deploy them just like you would with weaponry.
This guide lists all eight yellow Hacking Nodes — their effects, level upgrades, and where to find them — including those unlocked from the Cabin’s Stamp Club boards and those scattered across every Sector and Block.
📡 Quick Overview: There are 8 node types and 32 total nodes to collect. Four are found in the world (Decode, Multihack, Confuse, Heat), and four are Stamp Club rewards (Freeze, Expose, Drain, Chain). Each node has 3 upgrade levels — collect multiple copies to increase their power.
🧩 All 8 Hacking Nodes – Effects & Upgrades
🔹 Decode
Disrupts enemy internal systems, temporarily increasing damage dealt. Repeated use on the same enemy reduces effectiveness. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type boosts damage further.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Damage ↑
- Lv. 3 – Damage ↑ ↑
🔸 Multihack
Links enemies together, opening multiple targets. OPEN time is extended, while damage to affected targets is reduced. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type extends OPEN duration.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Max. Targets ↑
- Lv. 3 – Max. Targets ↑ ↑
🔹 Freeze
Disrupts enemy actuators, temporarily stopping their movements. Repeated use on the same enemy reduces effectiveness. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type extends duration.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Enemy Stun Time ↑
- Lv. 3 – Enemy Stun Time ↑ ↑
Stamp Club Reward: Cabin’s Stamp Club 01 – Trainee Board (Triple Bingo)
🔸 Confuse
Disrupts enemy visual sensors, causing friendly fire. Effects on bots vary. Repeated use reduces effectiveness. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type increases friendly fire damage.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Friendly Fire Damage ↑
- Lv. 3 – Friendly Fire Damage ↑ ↑
🔹 Expose
Exploits enemy weaknesses, making the next hack deal critical damage and more easily stagger the target. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type strengthens the effect.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Critical Damage ↑
- Lv. 3 – Critical Damage ↑ ↑
Stamp Club Reward: Cabin’s Stamp Club 02 – Associate Board (Bingo)
🔸 Heat
Makes enemies overheat more easily. While active, weapons build heat gauge faster. Repeated use reduces effectiveness. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type increases the effect.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Heat Gauge Buildup ↑
- Lv. 3 – Heat Gauge Buildup ↑ ↑
🔹 Drain
Uses enemy processing power to boost Hugh’s suit efficiency, restoring a small amount of HP. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type increases recovery.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – HP Recovery ↑
- Lv. 3 – HP Recovery ↑ ↑
Stamp Club Reward: Cabin’s Stamp Club 03 – Specialist Board (Bingo)
🔸 Chain
Manipulates enemy processes, chaining the hacking matrix. Adds bonus damage based on consecutive node uses. Passing through multiple nodes of the same type strengthens its effect.
- Lv. 1 – Can be equipped at the Tram Terminal
- Lv. 2 – Node Uses ↑
- Lv. 3 – Node Uses ↑ ↑
Stamp Club Reward: Cabin’s Stamp Club 04 – Director Board (Bingo)

💡 Node‑Hunting Tips:
→ Focus on Stamp Club first — Freeze, Expose, Drain, and Chain are only available through Bingo completions. Prioritise these boards early.
→ For world nodes, check every Escape Hatch — most locations are described relative to these fast‑travel points.
→ Red Zone areas are end‑game sectors — you’ll need to progress the main story to access them.
→ Each node type has 3 upgrade levels — collecting multiple copies of the same type increases its power significantly.
With all 32 nodes collected, Diana becomes an unstoppable hacker. Good luck, Operator.
That’s every yellow Hacking Node in Pragmata — where to find them, what they do, and how to upgrade them. Now get out there, hack the system, and turn The Cradle’s own tech against it. 🧠⚡
